The Cruise is Almost Here!!!
Amber and I are departing, without the kids, on a much needed cruise next week! We will be going to Puerto Rico, Antigua, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas. I'd like to thank everyone for their great "click" support! The "Help Me Fund" was a great success and we couldn't have made this happen without you. The grand total came to $105.36 with almost half of it coming in the first few weeks.
If any of you have ever hit any of the above ports and have some suggestions we would love to hear them! Also, if any of you have any suggestions or positive experiences to share with two parents with some anxieties of leaving their little kids for a week please give us the good word.

I wonder if the anxiety ever goes away. We received a trip when we purchased our new truck ( we had to get something to warrant financing up to our yingyang) and are planning on using it in May. I worry now what it will be like leaving 2 teenagers...more for the upkeep of their hectic schedules than safety or behaviour issues. We have been married 20+ years and have only left our kids for longer than 2 days....ONCE!!!! Don't fall into that habit. Take the time and enjoy yourselves.
(Incidentally, we are planning our summer and my BIL in Salt Lake has asked for our kids to come spend a month.... I won't know what to do with my time...but I'll sure figure it out!) Enjoy your cruise!
Just go and enjoy yourselves. Grandma is able to care after children, after all, you and/or Amber (not sure who's mom it is) are still alive right? A break does good for both the parents and the kids. Things may not be done exactly as you do them, but your children will be in one piece when you pick them up. Have Fun!
